For Erasmus MC we designed a campaign to build awareness around a subject we hold dear: treating HIV.
In the Netherlands (and worldwide) there are still a numerous amount of people who suffer from HIV and AIDS. The World Health Organization (WHO) set the so-called '90-90-90 goal'.
If every country in the world reaches this goal, in 2030 the world would be freed of AIDS.
A CAMPAIGN STARTS WITH A STRIKING LOGO
The logo we created for this campaign is a newly invented hashtag. We wanted to emphasize the H of HIV by being inspired by the well-known red ribbon used by allies of HIV and aids. By making the hashtag out of two separate, but connected parts, we show the relationship between doctor and client.
BE INFORMED VIA INFOGRAPHICS
The campaign website consists of numerous inforgraphics Twisted Stranger designed to raise awareness and a sense of urgency around the subject HIV and AIDS. Facts and figures that are serious but still designed with colourful elements so they are still pleasent on the eyes. Next to that the website has its own news section and a possiblility to download a conversation card you can bring along to your GP wben you think you might have infected with HIV. Let's break the stigma [Make HIV a part...][...of the conversation!]
NOT ONLY DESIGN
WE ARE COUREAGOUS CAMPAIGNERS
Dare to… is the glue that holds this campaign together. It triggers the target audience to think outside their own comfort zone when it comes to hiv and hiv-testing. Dare to be Aware is for change of thoughts. Dare to Ask for communication. Dare to know for Education and Dare to get Tested action driven.
Rethink, Communication, Education and Action. These four pillars are needed to create a change. And change is needed to reach the goal of 0 new hiv-infections in the Netherlands by 2030! [Together we can...][...CHANGE the future!]
PITCHING A TENT
We created a full blown tent and beach flags to accompany this pitch up lab. A place where people can get an hiv-test for free during promotion. [Dare to...][...GET TESTED!]
WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN...
We are developing an e-learning for the health professionals as we speak. So tune in, don’t drop out and follow our progress!
