CoV-Early is a study conducted by Erasmus MC, LUMC and Sanquin. This study researches the possibility for treatment of the coronavirus with the help of plasma.
To get the best results, they need people of the ages 50 and up, currently suffering from the COVID-19 virus. A campaign was needed to get these people motivated to sign up. And surely, without any hesitation, they called upon... The A-team! Or, wait, that can't be right. It was us!
Many of our designs target younger people, but we have done a good bunch of work for older audiences as well! Because of our studies on branding for a variety of age groups, we had the tools to come up with a design that’s age-appropriate while looking modern and sleek.
COVID IN A SYMBOL
For the logo we created, next to the typography, a symbol that holds all the letters of COVID in one! Ain't that ingenious??
We are firm believers that a simple and explanatory navigation is a must for older audiences. Use descriptive buttons and add a text-enlarger functionality. It's simple things that keep it simple to understand for everyone.

By adding colors and (art) elements that were frequently used in the 50’s and 60’s we create a branding that is recognizable and taps into the sweet memories of yesteryear.

Next to the design we came up with the slogan that will motivate the target audience to participate in this study. Speaking to the ‘communal’ believes this target group holds dear.
Next to creating a website, a print campaign was in place to reach this audience. Posters and folders to communicate the message via G.P's, hospitals and retirement homes.
